PANEL SESSION: SHE-TECH IN THE GREEN DIGITAL ECONOMY

As the world races toward a low-carbon, digitally powered future, women leaders are at the forefront of creating solutions that bridge sustainability, technology, and inclusion. From AI-enabled climate models to circular economy platforms and green innovation startups, women founders and executives are proving that scaling impact is as much about community as it is about commerce. This panel highlights the journeys of women entrepreneurs and changemakers in AI and GreenTech, exploring how they build investible ventures, champion ESG commitments, and design inclusive ecosystems. Beyond inspiring stories, the discussion will examine the practical levers — policy support, financing access, digital infrastructure, and cross-sector partnerships — needed to accelerate women-led innovations that deliver both environmental resilience and economic growth. Attendees will gain actionable insights on how female leadership is shaping the green digital economy, while uncovering strategies to ensure women remain central to the global sustainability and technology agenda.

PANEL SESSION: TECH FOR HER – BRIDGING THE URBAN-RURAL DIGITAL DIVIDE

Across ASEAN and the wider world, women in rural communities remain disproportionately excluded from the benefits of the digital economy. Barriers such as limited internet access, affordability of devices, lack of digital literacy, and gendered cultural norms restrict opportunities for rural women to participate in—and benefit from—digital transformation. Yet, when equipped with the right tools, training, and platforms, women in rural and semi-urban areas can become powerful drivers of economic growth, sustainability, and social resilience. This panel brings together changemakers, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and investors who are working to close the urban-rural digital gap. The discussion will explore practical initiatives—from AI-powered agri-tech tools, fintech platforms for women-owned SMEs, to community-based digital literacy programs—that enable women in rural areas to access opportunities in education, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihoods. By spotlighting success stories and scalable models, this session aims to inspire a collective vision: ensuring that the digital economy empowers women everywhere, not just those in urban centers.

FIRESIDE CHAT: TRIED AND TESTED SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO

SYNOPSIS: Behind every breakthrough lies a trail of trial and error — lessons earned the hard way. In this candid SHETECH session, women founders, innovators, and leaders open up about the experiments that didn’t go as planned — the pitches that fell flat, the startups that stalled, and the moments they almost walked away. Through honest storytelling and reflection, these trailblazers reveal what really happens between ambition and achievement — how resilience, self-belief, and the courage to keep iterating turn failure into foresight. Attendees will walk away not just inspired, but equipped with real-world insights, tested strategies, and the confidence to take bold steps without repeating the same mistakes.

CLOSING KEYNOTE: RISE, LEAD, REPEAT – WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP IN THE DIGITAL ECONOMY

SYNOPSIS: In industries long shaped by men — from water infrastructure to digital transformation — Pn. Malseni Jamal has built a reputation for turning complexity into clarity and challenges into catalysts for change. As one of Sarawak’s foremost women leaders driving the merger of three major state water entities, her leadership reflects not only operational excellence but also the courage to lead reform, deliver efficiency, and champion inclusivity in sectors often resistant to disruption. In this closing address, Pn. Malseni shares her personal journey of leading large-scale transformation in a male-dominated field — from navigating boardrooms to breaking silos and building systems that serve communities better. Her story reveals the real work behind digital transformation: the human grit, empathy, and persistence required to reform legacy structures while ensuring that women have a seat at every decision-making table. Audiences will walk away inspired by her leadership philosophy — that success is not a one-time milestone but a cycle of rising, leading, and repeating — empowering women across industries to embrace complexity, lead with conviction, and leave a legacy that opens doors for the next generation.
